As referred to in our previous communication, Umhlanga Cabanas is scheduled for a major refurbishment.

Unfortunately, we have encountered additional unforeseen delays that occurred after our last
communication was sent. The process of obtaining sign off from our neighbours to ensure that
there were no objections to our planning approvals and relaxations took longer than we had anticipated.
The good news is that we have now successfully secured all necessary approvals from both
our neighbours and the Council and are finally able to submit plans for final approval. As a
result, and with the current “block-off” dates drawing closer, we will need to reschedule the
upgrades to 2026, commencing on the 16 January 2026 and with completion by 4 December
2026. Please be assured that we will continue to give the matter our utmost attention and
are actively working on getting the tender documents ready for the project to go out to tender.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond our control.
For owners whose 2025 week fell into the previously communicated “block-off dates” we
were very fortunate that iExchange was prepared to assist by allocating you with points and
a free exchange credit on the iExchange system.
We are now able to release this week to (iExchange) availability, however it is important
that you contact us before 4 April 2025 if you wish to use your week yourself, otherwise
the points will automatically remain available for your use.
If you do wish to use your own week, previously allocated points and exchange fee
credit will be reversed. Many owners have already made their alternative booking, and we
trust that you are looking forward to this vacation.
In terms of your 2026 week, if it falls in the “block-off” period detailed above, you will
now have 2 options: Either, to request a levy reversal, alternatively and for your
convenience iExchange has again offered assistance to allow us to bank the week for a
points credit, and complimentary exchange fee.
As with above, we would appreciate your communication of your preference to the above
options by 4 April 2025, so that we may plan ahead.
